.. Are you kidding me?
I do run Vista 32 bit. Why is 3 gig maximum?
Would I be able to get 4gig if I installed Windows XP?

Ugh. I never knew PC's had RAM limits. /facepalm. I regret buying this laptop even though I have it for 1,5 year now.
Which would be a better choice? I really don't like Vista with all it's toolbar crap, transparant windows and all that blah that sucks my memory, so I doubt I'll like the 64 bit one.
Would Windows 7 be a good choice?

Re: Gaming computer
A lot of people say they like it but I myself have never messed around with it's interface but you could also go with a 64-bit version of xp also if you would rather do that and not only do the o.s's put a cramp on your ram your mobo also has a limit which would be another thing to look in to. I had a friend who had put 12 gigs of rams on his mobo which only supported 8 and it overheated and cracked in half

Lmao. Are you two by any chance related? Stop fighting bro's. You should give each other money so you can buy a new computer. Brotherly love!

Re: Gaming computer
I hate my laptop officially from now on.
Like 2 months ago it worked perfectly, I got 30 fps on CrossFire which was okay for me.
Last months it's 20, and sometimes my computer just goes all shocky and it only gives me like 6 fps for like 10 minutes and then it turns back to normal.
I have no clue what the problem is, I defragmented my computer, scanned it for virusses, cleaned my entire computer and threw useless crap off. It's NOT helping.
At first I thought Vent caused it, because I barely had that problem with TeamSpeak. But with Xfire it lags too ..
I'm gonna save up for a better laptop or desktoppc if I find a job. This is killing me, I don't have a clue what the problem is.
My friend has an Acer with a crappier videocard and less memory then me and he can play CrossFire fluently. But he has XP though..

Re: Gaming computer
Try this program. In the utilities section it has game booster and ram booster along with a scan of your whole computer to check for and fix issues. It made a huge difference on my laptop, and its free.

Re: Gaming computer
run the ram booster when you start your computer and turn on gamebooster right before you open the game.

Hmmm.. I always used Uniblue and that worked pretty good too, but some of the 'tweaks' actually made my computer slow. So I'm a little cautious about automatic repairs and stuff. I downloaded it and read some reviews and it's scanning now. Hope it'll make some kind of diffrence.
I just defragmented everything on my computer like 30 minutes ago, scanned and all turned out clean - and now in that Advanced Systemcare program I have 170 systemerrors. lawl.
so I hope it'll work, thanks!
By the way, do you know if that Turbo Boost is safe? Or is it like a no-no to run it all the time?
